Web Site Post Card

If you are a Member of the Software Billions Club and have recently received a postcard in the mail stating you have to set up your FREE Web Sites- beware! This was not sent from Nationwide Home Business Center!

We have been made aware of a company called "Group M Marketing, Inc." aka "Kimble & Kennedy Publishing" aka "Smart Marketing Companies" that has been randomly sending out postcards telling the receiver that their free web site needs to be set up. This postcard mailing has created some confusion for our members.

First of all WE ARE NOT AFFILIATED with the aforementioned company and WE DO NOT MAIL OUT POSTCARDS to our Members.

Secondly, your money-making web sites you receive as a Member of the Software Billions Club ARE ALREADY SET UP FOR YOU when you joined! We would not mail you a postcard telling you to set them up because we already set the sites up for you when you became a member of the club.

Nationwide Home Business Center is in the process of remodeling and upgrading our offices to better serve our Distributors. Our fax, phone and Internet connections have all been off line periodically over the last month.

eCard Spam Alert

Nationwide Home Business Center would like to alert our Distributors to a recent surge in spam that is circulating around the Internet that you will want to avoid. The message looks like an electronic greeting card, and has been spammed out to email addresses around the world, but really attempts to install a Trojan horse onto recipients' computers.

The spammed out e-mail messages will say something along the lines of “You got a greeting card from ________________ (a friend, a family member, a relative, etc.) Click on the below link to collect your card.”

Clicking on the link in the message can install a malicious Trojan horse.

When users click on the link their computer attempts to download and install the malicious Troj/Dloader-UT Trojan horse. Once a computer is infected by the Trojan horse, hackers can spy on users' activity including stealing passwords and monitoring the keyboard.

You may think you've received an electronic greeting card from a secret admirer or relative, but in fact it's a hacker who is going to be showing an unhealthy interest in you. Think twice before you click on a web link in an unsolicited e-mail, as it could lead to you putting your data and finances into danger.

Keep in mind that legitimate eCard web sites will tell you the name of the person who sent you an eCard and will not use vague terms such as "'a relative' or 'a friend' has sent you an eCard". Only click on eCard links that are sent by people/names that you know and trust.

Do not click on eCards that do not state the name of the person who sent it. In addition to that rule, you can click here for a list of other eCard sites to avoid.

Gift Card Scandal

We just wanted to let everyone know about a gift card scam we recently became aware of. Thieves are making note of the identifying information displayed on gift cards being offered for sale, then periodically call the gift card hotlines to check if they've been activated, and when they are, they drain these cards of the amounts they contain. This means you could activate a gift card with a $50 balance for example, a thief can call the gift card hotline, type in your card number and once they see that money has been added to the card, they spend it... before your loved ones can! Always buy gift cards at the register to ensure gift card safety.

More shoppers take online plunge; sales hit $670 million in record day



Online retail sales from Nov. 1 through Friday were up 25% over 2005, says Internet market research firm ComScore Networks.

ComScore says last Wednesday was likely the biggest online shopping day of the year and, with nearly $670 million in sales, topped last year's No. 1 day by over $100 million. In fact, sales on 12 days this year have surpassed $600 million.

Last year's single biggest day for Web sales was Dec. 11, when consumers spent $556 million online.
