1. Insert the “CIA World Fact Book CDROM” into your computers CDROM drive.
2. The CDROM should begin to ‘auto-play’ no longer than 20 seconds after being placed into your CDROM drive. If the CD does not automatically start to run after you insert it into your computer, go to your Start Menu, click “Run” and type the following and click OK:
d:\ciawfb.exe
(in place of d:\ put your CDROMs drive letter)
3. After the CD’s introduction, click ENTER to start the CDROMs main interface. See Figure 1 below.

4. The Main Interface will load. See Figure 2 below.

5. From the main menu, double-click the report you want to launch.
The specific report will then launch in Microsoft Word® or in Notepad/Wordpad. (Figure 3)
