COPYING & INSTALLATION

Copying and installing software has never been made easier!

1. Simply use Power Tools to locate the title you want to install.
2. Click the blue “Install” button to launch the programs individual installer.

HOW INSTALLATION WORKS

There are over 200 titles on this CDROM and each title installs differently.
One of three processes will happen when you click the blue install button.

INSTALLATION PROCESSES

Process 1: The program will begin automatically. No further actions are required...

Process 2: The program will launch an installer. Simply follow the instructions you are presented with to install the title on your computer.  Typically, you will select a directory (folder) on your computer to install the title.  After installation is complete, go to the
Start Menu>Programs and launch the specific title you installed.

Process 3: The program launches an unzipping utility. Most of the software included on the CDROM are made of very large files. They would not all fit on the CD in raw format, so in order to decrease their file size we had to compress or “zip” them.  To use some of the titles you will need an unzipping program installed to unzip the files.

When you click “install” your unzipping utility is automatically launched for you. We included WinZip, a popular unzipping utility on the CD for you to use if you don’t have one already.

Once WinZip or your unzipping program launches, simply follow the instructions you are presented with to copy the title over to your computer. 

WinZip may even install the title for you on the spot. If not, you will need to go to c:\unzipped on your computer to locate the files you unzipped.

You can get to c:\unzipped by going to your Start Menu, clicking RUN and typing in c:\unzipped OR you can double-click “My Computer” from the desktop, then double-click C: (hard drive) and then search for the folder titled “unzipped.”
Open the “unzipped” folder to find the name of the file you unzipped.

After you have unzipped the files you will need to double-click the application or .exe (executable) file to launch the installer (see Process 2 above) or the title will automatically begin!

There is no need to install WinZip.
