Frequently Asked Questions
1 Q. I noticed a file called VBRUN in the Tools section of the CDROM. What is VBRUN.dll and why do I need it?
1 A. Visual Basic (VB) is programming language and programs created with it depend on access to "libraries" that extend the languages functionality. These libraries aren't distributed with the actual programs as you only need to install them one time.
Different versions of VB require different libraries and those libraries are available to download through the links below from Microsoft.
They are also included in the support folder on the CDROM.
Visual Basic 3 (vbrun300.dll) Visual Basic 4 16- & 32-bit versions (vb40016.dll, vb40032.dll, & more) Visual Basic 5 (MSVBVM50.DLL, OLEAUT32.DLL, and more) Visual Basic 6 (MSVBVM60.DLL, OLEAUT32.DLL, and more)
2 Q. WHAT DOES ‘INSTALL’ MEAN?
2 A. Generally speaking, Installation is the process of moving the individual title from the CDROM to your computer’s hard drive.
